I was inspired to create an image based on an LVA major and my muse. When creating artwork I love to listen to music as I work. The music that has been motivating me to continue creating art is 80's Rock. I wanted to show my love for 80's rock and LVA guitar majors by illustrating a classic rock guitar from that era. I was also inspired by the city of Las Vegas. It is truly a remarkable city and a place that unites all kinds of music, people, and ideas. I used the color of the stars around the guitar to represent classic Las Vegas colors.
In the future I hope to encourage people to listen to any music they like. Don't let others discourage the type of music you listen to. Also I want to encourage people to open their minds and find different music. You don't know where life is headed but at least have some good music to listen to on the way there.

My muse image is heavily influenced by the Club Kid movement. Club Kids were a group of young New York City dance club personalities led by Michael Alig and James St. James in the late 1980s and early 1990s. This work is a representation of the confidence and style that I try to incorporate into my own life through my clothes and speech. The bright variety of colors display that in-your-face feeling of the club scene, the shine in his skin representing the sweat that comes with it. I wanted this to be very geometric, like he knows his moves and he knows what he's doing to you. All the movement comes from the multiple overlapping colors of arms behind him, showing that crowded and lively space that is the club. In the future, I hope to represent my many different muses from various backgrounds.(Picture shown is the artist's concept sketch. In this image, I literally interpreted the theme "muse" as my friend who posed for me when I did observational drawing in class. Each person had a partner to draw for 15 minutes with a pose of their choice, and my friend's pose inspired me to explore composition and posture.
In the future I hope to explore drawing different people, postures, and facial features to expand what I am capable of capturing.

The first thing I think of when I think of the word muse are the stories and myths that inspired so many classical works of art. I specifically wanted to create an artwork that held the story of the nine muses, a story mostly forgotten and changed with time although still often called to mind by the word muse itself. I chose to depict Apollo and the nine muses, Calliope, Clio, Polyhymnia, Euterpe, Terpsichore, Erato, Melpomene, Thalia, and Urania from Ovid's Metamorphosis where Pierus's daughters had been turned to magpies after competing against the muses in the arts.

I was inspired to create an image based on the gambling culture of Las Vegas. The rush gambling gives is what gives this city its never ending thrill, but it's also what causes the citizens to crumble underneath it.
In the future I hope to help not only locals but also tourists understand the effects of the night life that plagues the "Sin City" we call Las Vegas. The casino chips that the masses place bets on only haunt the people who decide to test their luck without realizing the spiral that awaits beyond the playing cards.

I was driven to capture one of my muses unaware of the presence behind them, silently present in the textured world around them. I wanted to use a gaudy, powerful interpretation on shape and color and the way they symbolize my interactions with the people I love as an artist. In the future I hope to further explore my interactions with other people and, therefore, grow my gallery of muses.

I was inspired to create an image based on showgirls because they are a symbol of Las Vegas and I was inspired when I had the chance to meet retired showgirls and listen to them recount their experiences. The intricate and handmade headgear, the rigid standards they held as performers, and the conservation of the showgirl costumes all impressed me. In my piece I wanted to give them a playful composition to illustrate their role as a muse to Las Vegas.
In the future, I hope to fully immerse myself in stylistic work, and improve my rendering of clothing and outfits. I want to pursue a career as a lawyer with the ability to do art on the side. I feel that this piece is my last hurrah. I truly want to tire myself out this year, doing as much as I can as my last year as a senior.

I was inspired to create an image based on The Las Vegas muse, living in Vegas is so exciting. All of the culture and art surrounding us is just incredible. I want this piece to be a fun reminder of a memory of this trip to Vegas!!! I wanted a very flat 2D looking artwork to mimic a playing card. The money and symbols scattered throughout this piece help tocreate the whole ambiance of this artwork. In the future I hope to continue creatingbeautiful pieces of art for many people to enjoy. I'm looking to pursue a career in graphic design. I'm looking forward to creating these incredible designs for many people, whether that's coming up with new creative ways for a product design to a website layout. I have been specializing in vinyl murals. All of our murals around the school I have done from printing to the actual installation of the artwork. If I could find a career doing that either for the casinos or even businesses whenever needed would be incredible. I'm so stoked to see all of the amazing things I create in the future and how many people will feel a connection and enjoytheir presence.
